Medicare Part D Monthly Rates Stable for 2014

Good news for Part D drug plan policyholders. In 2014 the average monthly premium cost will remain stable at an estimated $31 per month, according to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). While the announcement is an indicator that premium rates will be fairly stable for Part D plans, policyholders should still look closely at their individual plan.  Even if the monthly premium stays the same, their drug prices can go up.
